At Coastal Audiology, we continually strive to bring you the best products for your specific communication difficulties. Our Audiologist frequently participates in continuing education activities to stay up-to-date on current hearing instrument technology. We routinely fit products from eight well-known manufacturers to offer our patients a variety of solutions based on their hearing loss, lifestyle, budget, and communication needs.

Below you will find a brief overview of a few of the products we offer. Not all of the products featured may be appropriate for your degree of hearing loss. be is not for every hearing loss, but it is an excellent choice for people who want the cosmetics of an in-the-ear device, but want the benefits of an open-fit device. With be, patients can experience less occlusion (head-in-a-barrel) than they would experience with a custom in-the-ear device, but without the annoyances some people experience with open-fit behind-the-ear hearing aids, such as interference with oxygen straps, eyeglasses, hair noise, perspiration, etc.

Special Considerations when Selecting Hearing Aids:



There are many factors to consider when selecting the right hearing aids for you. The information provided above is not a substitute for a comprehensive hearing evaluation and consultation.  At Coastal Audiology, we spend time discussing things such as:

            -How often are you in background noise, such as in a
             restaurant?
            -Are you frequently in environments where you perspire?
            -Are you self-conscious about the cosmetic aspect of hearing
             devices?

These are just a few of the imporant questions that come up during a hearing evaluation at Coastal Audiology that other facilities never bother to ask you. We are committed to finding the solution that best suits you, first based upon your hearing loss, then considering lifestyle, budget, and your listening needs.

 

Introducing Pay-as-you-Go and
Protection Plus+ Hearing Aid Purchase Plans!
Finally, patients can choose to purchase just the hearing aids they want or a comprehensive service package. Coastal Audiology is the first local provider to offer patients the opportunity to "unbundle" our products and services, which can save you thousands of dollars! Pay-as-you-Go 

After your comprehensive hearing test, we will recommend the hearing aid(s) that will meet your hearing needs. If you agree with the treatment plan we recommend, we will move forward together.

Pay-as-you-Go will allow you the opportunity to pay a lower cost for better technology,  a small non-refundable fitting fee which includes the initial programming and one post-fitting check, typically between 2 weeks and 1 month post-fitting. The average patient will likely need at least 3-4 post-fitting visits to adjust their hearing aids to their needs.

We are pleased to announce that we now can offer the same comprehensive 3 year repair, 3 year loss/damage warranty for our Pay-as-you-Go patients that we offer to our Protection Plus+ patients.  Previously, the warranty was the manufacturer's standard warranty, typically 1 year.

Should you find that you need a little more "TLC" than the Pay-as-you-Go plan provides, we offer a Full Service Plan for a nominal fee per year.

This plan is perfect for those individuals who are looking for the best hearing aids at the lowest price possible. Our prices are competitive among internet retailers, but instead of paying your hard-earned money to a faceless internet retailer, you have a provider that is accountable if you are unhappy for any reason.


Protection Plus+

After your comprehensive hearing test, we will recommend the hearing aid(s) that will meet your hearing needs. If you agree with the treatment plan we recommend, we will move forward together.

Protection Plus+ will allow you to have the most comprehensive service and warranty package available for hearing aids today. This plan allows patients to be worry-free for 3 full years! The Protection Plus+ plan includes a 3 year repair warranty, 3 year loss/damage warranty, a 3-year supply of batteries (100 cells per aid), and comprehensive 3-year service package which covers adjustments, cleanings, reprograms, and much more!

This plan is perfect for those individuals who want the ultimate hearing healthcare service and warranty package as well as those patients who are new hearing aids wearers who are unsure of how much follow-up they may need. It is also perfect for existing wearers who want the freedom to come in for unlimited visits without being charged each time.

Financing

Coastal Audiology currently offers financing, including no interest and budget payment plans, through the Citi Health Card. Interested individuals may apply over the telephone, online, or in our office. You have the option to choose a Citi Health Card MasterCard or an Original Citi Health Card.

The Georgia Lions Lighthouse Foundation, a division of Lions Club International, helps bring hearing aids and eyeglasses to individuals who meet financial eligibility requirements. Beginning November 2007, all hearing aids provided to patients through the Lighthouse will be new hearing aids with a 3 year warranty.

Additionally, if you wish to donate your old hearing aids to the Lighthouse, you may do so through our office. Although the Lighthouse will begin providing new hearing aids, they still work with manufacturers to obtain financial support to continue funding their program. Tax deductions are available for donated hearing aids or you may simply make a benevolent donation.
Assistive Listening Devices

Assisitive Listening Devices, also called ALDs, are helpful for individuals with normal hearing as well as patients with hearing loss, with or without hearing aids.
