Our Audiologist frequently participates in continuing education activities to stay up-to-date on current hearing instrument technology. Unitron Quantum

Quantum delivers the most natural, effortless listening with clear speech, smooth transitions and beautiful, undistorted music. Everything just sounds right, easily and enjoyably, the way nature intended.

  • High-resolution sensing
  • Precise classification
  • Powerful integrated algorithms

ReSound Alera
ReSound Alera improves hearing in even the most difficult listening environments, based on core technologies such as Natural Directionality II, Environmental Optimizer II and Surround Sound. With ReSound Alera, sound is crisper, cleaner and works more like natural hearing, providing a truly advanced listening experience.

Its powerful 2.4 GHz technology provides cable-free fittings and truly wireless connections to everyday audio devices such as TVs and phones. The combination of Resound Alera’s broad transmission range and the freedom it provides from body-worn streamers makes Resound Alera both convenient and easy-to-use.

The ReSound Unite Remote control is an optional accessory that can be used to discreetly adjust the volume and programs on your ReSound Alera hearing instruments should you choose. Large, easy-to-read display, pocket-sized. A remote control is great for those individuals with dexterity issues, such as arthritis or diabetic neuropathy, because you do not have to find the tiny controls on the hearing aid.

The ReSound Unite Phone Clip is about the size of a match box and allows the hearing aid wearer the opportunity to take advantage of hands-free telephone use with your Bluetooth-enabled cell phone.

The Unite TV Streamer is an optional accessory that allows you to hear the television directly through your hearing instruments, wirelessly. Once paired with your hearing instruments, you can take it with you and plug it in to another TV while travelling if you desire. Allows the wearer to move around while watching television and still participate in conversations.

These accessories can be purchased separately or as a package with your hearing devices. They can also be added later if a wireless hearing device is selected.

Siemens Aquaris

Not only is Aquaris™ the first waterproof hearing aid from Siemens, it’s also completely comfortable to use. The ergonomic shape of the BTE (Behind-the-Ear) hearing aid perfectly fits your ears and the soft rubber surface ensure it stays in place – even when you’re most active. Available fitted with a slim LifeTube or as individual ear molds, you get to choose what meets your needs. And it’s easy to care for, too: drying Aquaris requires only a gentle shake and a clean cloth.

Aquaris with Sport clip. Securely attaches to Aquaris, preventing displacement or loss of your hearing aids while you enjoy your favorite extreme activities.

Waterproof and water pressure resistant up to 1 meter (3 feet), it’s perfect for storing your small electronic devices – remote controls, mobile phone, MP3 player, etc. – when at the pool or in contact with the elements. You can even listen to music while you swim!

Aquaris with Tek remote: Wirelessly connects to phones, MP3 players, TVs and other audio devices. Streams stereo sound directly to your Aquaris

Special Considerations when Selecting Hearing Aids:

There are many factors to consider when selecting the right hearing aids for you. The information provided above is not a substitute for a comprehensive hearing evaluation and consultation.  At Coastal Audiology, we spend time discussing things such as:

-How often are you in background noise, such as in a
             restaurant?
-Are you frequently in environments where you perspire?
-Are you self-conscious about the cosmetic aspect of hearing
             devices?

These are just a few of the imporant questions that come up during a hearing evaluation at Coastal Audiology that other facilities never bother to ask you. We are committed to finding the solution that best suits you, first based upon your hearing loss, then considering lifestyle, budget, and your listening needs.
